I have just won the Matt Withers' 2022 Australian Music Composition
Competition. This will result in a new guitar duo for Matt and fellow
guitarist Callum Henshaw to play, called "Hanging in the Balance". You

During that "Covid" year, I worked on updating several very early guitar
"fugues" and collected them into a set called - So You Want to Play
a Fugue?. Just the thing for a guitarist in isolation! These are
short studies in counterpoint mostly in the style of Bach. My good
friend and colleague Peter Constant has recorded a few of them

Withers & the Acacia Quartet. This piece for guitar & string quartet
was premiered on the 18 August 2018 at the National Aboretum in Canberra with
further performances in Sydney & at the Melbourne International Guitar
